Common Car Problems: A Must-Read for Both New and Experienced Drivers!

Automobiles have undoubtedly brought tremendous convenience to our lives, but they also come with various risks. To fully enjoy the thrill of speed and excitement on the road, car owners must familiarize themselves with some common car problems. By doing so, they can confidently handle these situations and minimize any unnecessary trouble, ensuring a safe and enjoyable driving experience.

Issue 1 - Steering Drift: While driving, your car may naturally veer to one side, resulting in a misalignment between the front and rear axles' centerline and the actual trajectory. Steering drift can range from tire damage to severe risks like vehicle rollovers or tire blowouts. If you experience steering drift, consider getting a wheel alignment and consider tire replacements!

Issue 2 - Engine Malfunction: When your vehicle's engine malfunction light illuminates during travel, accompanied by car body shaking and poor acceleration, it's likely due to substandard fuel quality or severe carbon buildup from incomplete fuel combustion. Using a carbon cleaning product might help, but if there's no improvement, seek professional inspection at a reputable repair shop.

Issue 3 - Low Oil Pressure Indicator during Acceleration: The engine oil pressure light may illuminate for two reasons: one indicates genuinely low oil pressure, signifying lubrication system malfunctions that require prompt attention, while the other results from the oil pressure indicator system malfunctioning, erroneously activating the warning light. In most cases, the former is more likely and should be the primary focus for diagnosing the problem. Issue 4 - Inadequate Wiping in Light Rain: When using the windshield wipers in light rain, you may notice uneven wiping patterns which indicate worn wiper blades or damaged wiper blades. Replace the wiper blades or wiper blade rubbers accordingly. But be cautious during replacement, as installation methods and lengths vary across different car models and years.

Issue 5 - Whole Car Vibrations at High Speeds: Experiencing vibrations throughout the car when driving at around 96 km/h, which disappear when slowing down, and reappear when accelerating to 90 km/h may result from tire imbalance, loose front and rear suspension, steering or transmission components, misaligned front wheels, or excessive axle clearance. Address these issues promptly to avoid exacerbating the problem.

Issue 6 - Car Won't Start: In the absence of deliberate damage, a car not starting is usually due to a depleted car battery. This often occurs when the driver forgets to turn off the air conditioning or leaves electrical devices on after parking. Seek help from a friend to jump-start the vehicle with jumper cables, then charge the battery.

In reality, many car issues encountered in daily life are not major problems. Instead of rushing to the dealership in panic, it's best to take a proactive approach: anticipate and manage risks to have complete control!
